What not to say to a pregnant woman.

Hi All,

Where do I begin... 12 and a bit weeks ago I found out that I was expecting a little baby, this being our 5th baby. At first my excitement was masked by worry, fear , as we tried to get our head around how we could possibly have another baby, how would we ''cope'' emotionally, physically ....
This may make me sound so heartless but in truth I just wasn't sure what I felt, I cried when I first saw them two pink lines on the test,(I felt guilty feeling like that but  as many other women would give their life to see them lines) but ironically I was worrying about what people might think or say when they find out, My partner shared the same feelings too. But , the more I sat and thought about It, The more I give myself a good shake, why the hell should I be worrying about what other people might think of MY decision to have another baby! So what I have 4 already, so what I'm 32!! Myself and my partner both work, depend on no-one but ourselves! and if I do say so myself we are bloody fantastic parents, yes like many others we have had our hard times and struggles, but it has made us stronger , both as parents and as a couple. Don't get me wrong becoming a mummy at 18 was thee hardest thing I have ever done in my life, I grew up fast, by no means are we given a hand book in how to be a ''perfect parent'' , or the truth about what its like to be pregnant, warning us about sleepless nights, being pee'd and poo'd on, how to dodge projectile vomit... how to cope with cankles, piles, saggy  boobs, cracked nipples, feeling like your internal organs are going to drop out your vagina  with each step you take after giving birth  or even how to kiss bye bye to our pre-baby bodies.!! No, we learn all that the hard way,by going through it ourselves, learning what's right and what's wrong when becoming a parent,  and yet here I am almost 14 years later and I'm still learning for god sake and will do until the day I pass, but what I am actually getting at here is when has it become socially acceptable for others to ask questions, pass remarks or quite frankly be bloody too forward for my own liking when it comes to me, my body and my pregnancy??

what has actually brought me to right this blog post is, through out the past few weeks I have had people ask me the rudest questions, ones that I would never think of even asking myself!! for example, in conversation with another adult,( and I cant emphasis that word ADULT enough because seriously my 13yr old would have even asked me this) upon telling her my news , her remark was, Jesus your 5th! are you getting steralized after this one! well if the ground could have opened up there and then I would have jumped in and hid, I don't know if I was more upset or embarrassed. What business is it of anyone should I continue to have any more or not, that choice is mine and mines only!! The same way its a woman's right to decide if she ever has any children at all. She then continued with was baby tplanned??? sweet and gentle Jesus , Mary , St Joseph and the wee Donkey.... was it planned??? How do you answer that ?? its safe to say that I did not answer, but how can you ask anyone that and expect them to give you an answer?? what did she expect me to say, aw god aye it was planned we were doing the baby dance alllll the time!!! I was mortified.

Which then takes me onto  another popular asshole comment, Oh your 5th baby , aren't you a bit young , how are you going to manage to pay for them all.... not that its anything to do with them, but I feel I need to justify my own pregnancy to them there and then by shouting from the flipping roof tops I f**king work all the hours god sends, myself and my partner are like passing ships in the night, but again what business is it of yours! I would love to know what actually goes through peoples minds that's makes them think that its Ok to ask anyone that?? Are they silly enough not to know by now that the  words they choose to come out of their mouths can burrows holes in someone! Don't we spend years  raising our children up to be kind to others, choose words wisely etc, yet here I am writing a post about the idiotic ,hurtful comments ADULTS say.... aw and another I have had is , are you Breast feeding this one?... listen ''love'' if I decide to become a human flipping milk machine then that's not a fecking thing that I would be telling you... in the middle of the street ... mid conversation..

There should be a book given to these people of things not to say to pregnant women, because clearly they don't know already. I 'm sure that if any of you lovely lot are expecting then you too have also come across these kind of remarks comments, Do you react like I do? Do you feel the need to defend your reasons of having babies?  and if you have please share in comments.

Anyway after going in a wee bit of a rant there I can safely say that we are over the bloody moon that we are expecting another wee addition to our family in march 2017, yes we might struggle to settle the little ones into a new routine but as before we will manage and couldn't have asked for a better gift, and too all those in future who feel the need to question it ( middle finger up) as Queen Bee herself says.

I hope you all enjoy reading , for now its love , hugs and kisses from

Henna Tattoo Application

Hi all,
A few months back I took a little road trip to Letterkenny to visit the fabulous Michelle at Henna Tattoo Letterkenny, after seeing her amazing work all over Facebook and Instagram I decided that I needed a Henna Tattoo myself. For a while now I have had a wee obsession with feathers, dream catchers and Mandala type designs, going as far as planning a brand new tattoo for early next year. And what better way to trial run the area I wanted tattooed than with a semi-permanent Henna design.

Upon arrival I was greeted by the beautiful Michelle, (well I managed to get myself lost and she was out looking out for me arriving lol) , she was super welcoming and so friendly.
I had been chatting to her over Instagram for a week or so before hand sharing ideas of designs that I wanted, and let me tell you she did not disappoint. She was very knowledgeable about all of the Henna ingredients/side effects and any allergic reactions that it may cause, which made me feel so comfortable in knowing that Michelle knew exactly what she was doing.

I chose to have the Black Henna paste applied to my inner forearm , which when dried and set it turned a pretty lighter shade of brown. (There is a choice of colours, I believe its Black, Brown and White) there could be more, which I will check out for you folks.

From start to finish the Design took about 20 min, and around 1 Hr to properly set, when drying the paste becomes hard and the design peels away on its own, leaving behind the design of choice. My design lasted just under 2 weeks and that was with normal showering/bath routine included.

I definitely highly recommend Michelle for any of you that are looking for a gorgeous semi permanent Tattoo. And for any of you beauties that are looking to contact her I will link all of her social media sites below, so you can go check out her stunning work for yourselves.

I hope you go check her pages out, and when you do give her a wee like and follow. For now its Love, Hugs and Kisses from

Christmas Markets in Derry

Hi Everyone, with Christmas only 6 days away I thought there was no better way to get into the Christmas spirit than spending the day in town at the ever popular Christmas Markets. This year the  markets were dotted all about the city centre from the Guildhall Square to Bishops Gate , there was a little something for everyone, young and old.
I took my time and spent a little while at each one , I got to meet a few characters along the way.

My first stop was at The Guildhall Square, Here there were Gorgeous little log cabins lined along the Derry wall , offering an array of beautifully handmade gifts and treats, There was also the very popular hotfood stand, which I had to sample of course.... I chose the steak burger which I enjoyed while listening to the Amazing Choir who sung Festive Tunes to the busy shoppers from the steps of the Guildhall itself.

Next I went to The Craft Village which is based on ShipQuay Street of the City, This is where I got the most Festive feeling, from the moment I entered the Village until I left , every corner I turned there were Christmas trees, twinkling lights, choirs and happy, friendly shoppers who had all stopped in for a wee festive tipple .

My next stop took me to Bishops Gate, here I was met with 2 huge marquee's. Inside where tables dressed with numerous home-made and hand-made gift, home decor and more, although one table in particular stood out to me , it was the URBAN VILLAGE one, here the guys had a giant cardboard christmas tree set up beside them, on it there were endless post it notes, with different captions written on them, when i asked the guys what it was about they had said they asked what 3 things would help foster a positive community identity, then each person scribbled down what they thought and had posted it on the tree. They have set up a number of workshops around the city starting from January 2016 finishing in march 2016. venues are yet to be confirmed but be sure to check them out.

My Last stop I happened to find by chance as I was on my way to the car as I hadn't known there were going to be any stalls there this year and upon speaking to a few of the stall holders they had said also that they handn't seen many visitors through-out the day.
These stalls were all adourned with home-made food items, baby knits and home decor, one stall had a very lovely lady who stopped to have a chat with me who had told me that she makes the very best whiskey marmalade in town... while another lovely lady who owns granny pats knits had shown me a beautifully hand painted flower pot that her daughter had gotten especially made for her as a present , to use for her stall.

Guys these markets are only here for a limitied number of days this year, 20th December being their last day, so please be sure and check them out.
I hope you enjoy having a sneak peak before you go, I had a great day and truely hope you do aswell, for now though its Love, Hugs and kisses from

It's all Hippening

A few months back I pre-ordered a Ban.do Agenda/Diary from Hippenings, which is an on-line shop that sell all kinds of Awesome party swag, original and alternative wedding decorations, wedding favors, and of course Amaze-balls paper goods, gifts, party headgear and tonnes more, all run at the helm by the stunning Laura Cunningham (@cunninghamlaura) . I  know I may sound a bit crazy to some of you , but this Agenda is thee best thing I have ever set my beady eyes on ,to any-one out there who has got their hands on one of these , You will know exactly what I am talking about.
From cover to cover this Agenda is filled with stunning artistry, cute little compliments, fun stickers and then some!!

I ordered the Ringleader 17month Agenda, but it also comes in the Florabunda style as-well, which is just as beautiful and also has an identical interior. these Amazing little pieces of heaven retail for 27.50 euro from Hippenings

There is not one page inside this Agenda/Diary that I dislike,  I bought this for the purpose of my wedding planning but I have yet to set pen to paper as I don't want to spoil it in anyway ( tiny bit crazy).
I love the silly little compliments dotted about here and there aswell as the inspirational words of encouragement on the monthly starter pages.

One of the most awesome parts of the ringleader is the cute secret code
at the very front of the Agenda ,The little secret pocket at the very back and the hilarious "hair washing decision page" is also up there with one of my fav things about this Diary.

Included amongst these fine pages is a list of all the fab artists that have designed each monthly header along with each one of their social media handles, be sure to check them all out.

The fact that it came with a hand written thank you note from Laura herself really gives this purchase the perfect finishing touch and makes it that bit more personal.
I don't want to spoil too much for those yet to purchase, so I won't share too much.

If you guys haven't checked Hippenings out yet, Firstly where have you been?,  and secondly please do, I am sure you will be just as hooked as I am with everything on this site.
I hope you all are having a fantastic day, but for now its love, hugs and kisses from

How Derry Does Halloween.

Every Year My wee home-town Derry put on a spectacular parade and fireworks display to celebrate the Halloween festivities, this year they definitely surpassed all of my expectations and then some !

Each year Derry draws in Thousands of visitors during this final week in October , But this year was something else, We were proudly voted as the number 1 Halloween Destination IN THE WORLD! So as predicted crowds of up to 50,000 gathered to watch this years "Rise Of The River Gods" themed Parade which had no less than 600 costumed performers, musicians, dancers and more, My kiddies favourite though I have to say was when the giant Dinosaur puppets tried to attack me while taking pictures (hehe) all caught on video too.
Below is some of the pictures that I captured during the Parade.

As you guys can see the standards of the floats this year was exceptional, the little performers danced their wee feet off and the music kept us all entertained along the way, I want to applaud the organisers, designers and everyone who got involved this year as you were all spectacular.

The Parade has always been my Favourite part of Halloween , but for my children it has to be the Fireworks display, It just wouldn't be the same for us without them, although this year I spent more time watching them than taking pictures of them as they definitely went the extra mile with the display, But here are the photos that I managed to capture.

I really hope you all love having a wee look through , but for now its love, hugs and kisses from

The items arrived in a super cute little pizza box shape parcel and inside the products were delicately wrapped in baby pink tissue paper and sealed with one of the company's logo stickers. such a lovely touch.

when I opened my parcel I was blown away with the number of stunning bespoke pieces that was inside, I didn't know which one to open first, it was like Christmas had come early.

The first two items were little cards, one had all of the blogger's information that were associated with this event, the other was an information card with each items name and price .

The next was a little package from Sweet As Honey Studio, its sweetly named ''make a mess confetti'' these retail for £3.95. This is a little balloon with a parcel of confetti that you can insert inside the balloon to make your very own little ''mess'' perfect for any party.

These are the Caterina 'no snag' knot ties, these retail for £7.00, personally I will be wearing these as little wrist ties as I  think they are wayyyy to pretty to hid away in my hair, but this is my  personal preference only.

Then I got the Acadia Tropical Punch Drink Set, which was a set of 4 bamboo effect straws and a sachet of cool aid fruit punch, I thought this was such a fun little idea, my kiddies just loved the straws, this set retails for £5.00

Next was the Hand Bow Tie Scrunchie, these gorgeous little pieces are made up of Prairie Charms very own hand printed fabric and come in an array of designs and colours, I loved the flamingo design on mine as it played on the Luau Party theme perfectly. these retail for £7.50

Next was one of my favourites, I love all kinds of jewellery, but anklets anklets are one of my favourites and this piece just suited me perfectly, its the Paloma Vintage Bead Drop Anklet, it retails for £12.00, This company can tailor your items to your taste as they have done with my mine.

These were my daughters favourites, she is such a girly girl and she is soo obsessed with mermaids and all things that sparkle, so these just had her name written all over it, she cannot wait to try the glitter out on her nails, and of course mine. The Dakota Custom Nail Glitter retails for £6.50 and the Faryn Hair Grips retails for £5.00

This next one I'm sure everyone will love, it is the Una Coconut S'more snack pack, after all who doesn't like chocolate, especially when it comes in a wee ''make your own'' pack, who can resist. These retails for £3.50, I thought these would make a great wee added extra for kids sleepovers as a little treat.

These last two I just had to save to last, I cannot put into words just how stunning these are, The purple rope necklace was a gift from the company for a little postage error so i am unsure of retail price for that , can i just say that that was just thee nicest jesture I have ever had from any comany ever!! They even placed a hand written note inside the parcel. The other item, well what can I say, what an absolutely stunning piece of craftmanship, this one of a kind, Eda Bespoke Floral Lei retails for £50.00 and im sure you will all agree it is worth ever penny, the purple flowers are such a stunning shade,  what a beauty!

I am super excited to test out each and every one of these items in more detail over the next few weeks , I will be sharing it all over on my instagram, so be sure you can check it out here, and if your not already then give me a wee follow. I cant wait to purchase more items from Prairie Charms and I hope that after seeing these fantastic products that you head on over an purchase a few too. I hope you all have a fab evening, but for now its love , hugs and kisses from
