The perfect makeup for New Years eve.

Hi Everyone
With New Years Eve being just a day away I thought  I would share with you 4 of my favourite party looks to see in the new year. Of course with it being New Years eve there is going to be loads of shimmer and glitter, but if your not into using alot of glitter I will also show you guys a few alternatives.

first up is a glitter smokey eye using purple/berry tones, my eyes are brown so I find that purple shades really make them stand out, but of course you can add the colours that suit your own eye colour. I have added individual lashes and some gel liner to finish the look. On my lips I have used a matte lipstick from sleek in the shade fandango.

Next is this ultra black smokey eye, this is one of my favourite night time looks, its so glam and super sultry, perfect for the party season, Here I have used peach tones to blend out the harsh edges of the black to soften the look and have added a pop of gold shimmer onto the tear duct for an extra little bit of sparkle, ( it is New Years Eve after all.)
With this eye make-up being so dark I have chosen not to add black winged liner, instead I have popped black eyeliner pencil onto the water liner and blended this onto the lower lash line, To finish  I added a few individual lashes and a tiny coat of mascara. On the lips is have model co in the smitten.

My Next look is this shimmer spotlight eye. Here I have used brown tones as transition shades, added darker tones of brown to define the crease then added this stunning pink/gold shimmer shadow from makeup revolution's naked underneath palette onto the centre of the upper and lower lid only to give this spotlight effect, again I finished off this look with some gel liner from benefit and a few individual lashes. On my lips I have Stila in the shade Anna.

Last but not least its This show stopper, this is a glitter cut crease using the same pigment from the first look only I have applied it with some lash glue to keep in place and to give it an ultra pigmented look, I have darkend the crease with a black shadow and blended it out to soften the look. I used eyeko fat liner in black to create a gorgeous winged liner then added false lashes and a coat of mascara to make this look extra glam!! on my lips I have Face of Austraila in the shade Urban Spice

I have become absolutely make-up obsessed lately, I can spend hours watching make-up tutorials on Youtube, ohh and thats when I should be asleep might I add lol, I follow a huge number of  MUA's religiousy but  when I came across a little gem like this lady on Instagram then it felt like Christmas had come early. I have never seen talent like it in my entire life!! , I can promise you guys that this little beauty is going to become huge in the make-up industry, without any shadow of doubt.
I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get to know Caoimhe a bit better so I set up a little interview with her,  she was sooo sweet and kindly agree. I will add our wee interview below for you all to read, as-well as a few pictures of her work, I really struggled to choose which ones to add as they are all so gorgeous! And of course I didn't want to add all of her work to spoil it for you all, so you guys will have to go check this wee beauty out for yourselves.

Im sure you will all agree that Caoimhe's work is stunning, I can definately see her work adorn the front cover of fashion magazines in the near future, if not sooner!! remember folks you heard it here first hahahah.

1. Firstly for those that dont know you yet ,What.s your name ,where are you from, and what age are you? My name is Caoimhe Kelly , I'm from Northern Ireland and I am 16 years old!

2.What age did you first take an interest in make-up and why? I have always had a keen interest in art as a child. My mum would always give me her almost empty make-up bottles and packaging and I would constantly be trying them out. I was just so mesmerised by the different colours. In my early teens I started to get terrible acne so I would always be researching new ways to cover my skin up.  I believe with that then came the recognition that make-up was amazing.

3. Where did you learn to do makeup?   YouTube tutorials and Trail and error! Practice makes perfect.

4. If you could only use 3 makeup products for the rest of your days , what would they be and why? Recently I've been obsessed with the Anastasia shadow couture palette. It's honestly just the most perfect palette I've used. Second would most probably be the Anastasia dipbrow pomade. My eyebrows have evolved seriously ever since I've bought it! And lastly it would have to be loreal true match foundation. I honestly use it on almost all my clients and they're obsessed with the finish it gives!

5.Did you find it hard when first starting out on social media to try gathering followers/likes etc. I found it really hard at the beginning. I realised that you need to engage with your followers. It was a real learning curve at the start. I practiced constantly trying to get the right picture and finding the perfect technique.

6.Which social media sites are you on?
 I'm on Instagram- http://instagram.com/cakefacecaoimhe ,

7.Which MUA inspires you the most with their work and who would you love to do a collaboration with ? I've so many! http://instagram.com/ssssamanthaa Samantha from Batalash would definitely have to be on the top of my list. I'm also obsessed with nikkietutorials http://instagram.com/nikkietutorials I've learned so much from her over the years!

8. For anyone that is looking to work as a makeup artist and is only starting out what advice would you give them  that you wish someone had of gave to you.? I'd say to be prepared for hate and jealousy. I've gotten so many negative comments that really took a blow to my confidence at the start but I've learned to realise that the ratio of negative to positive comments are not even comparable. Make-
up artistry can be a very jealous industry.

9 . Which makeup look is your all time "go to" look and which products do you use to achieve it?. Pink Champagne eyeshadow by ABH is amazing with warm toned eyeshadow and YSL number 10 lipstick!

10.  Where do you hope to be 10 years from now? I hope to be possibly working in film make-up and special effects type make-up. I also just hope to be happy and be able to say I'm pleased with what I've done so far in my life.
12.Would you ever consider running a makeup  master class in the near future? I would absolutely love to do makeup classes! I'm quite an introverted person so It would be a bit of a challenge.

13. If you could advise people reading this of 3 people to follow on social media who would they be, and why ? I would have to say @batalash , @nikkietutorials and @littlepaintedlady (if you haven't already!)

I hope you all loved getting to know Caoimhe as much as I did , I know we will be seeing loads more of her in the future, but for now my lovlies its loves, hugs and kisses from Little Painted Me xxx ooo

As much as I love Summer I am just soooo glad to see the back of it, don't get me wrong I love a wee evening chilling out in the sun with a wee glass of wine, but I love Autumn that whole much more. Not only because we get to wrap up a bit more in gorgeous pre winter fashion , we also get to rock the vamp/dark lips that has been seen adorn all the fashion runways of late, and no-one can rock a dark lip better than the sultry vixen herself miss Dita Von Teese, this look just ticks all the boxes when it comes to getting that Autumn runway 2015 look, from the berry coloured lips to the winged liner she is bang on trend.

We all love to put our own wee spin on make-up looks though as some of us aren't lucky enough to have a make-up artist on beacon call, as much as we would all love it. So here I have done my own wee cheap version of the dark lip/winged liner catwalk look for a quarter of the price. For this look I have used Sleek's Matte Me lip stain in the shade Fandango -£4.99 liquid black eyeliner from Primark - £1.00, black khol pencil from primark £1.00 to line the waterline . Foundation is Revlon colourstay in shade Natural Beige £12.99 from Boots, slight contour with MUA in shade 3 £1.00 from Superdrug. Baked Highligher shade RoseGold £1.00 in Savers. For brows I used Fm Cosmetics Brow Palette from Fm Cosmetics £8.99. Black Mascara from Primark £1.00. Guys as you can see none of these products were expensive ,so even on a budget this look is quite easy to put your own stamp on.

Choosing one staple lip colour for Autumn is so difficult though as there is just so many shades to choose from , so here is a few i have choose as my Top favourites ranging from highend to budget buy and can i just say that even i struggle to tell the difference in some of these shade as they are so similar....

HIGHEND OPTIONS

BUDGET BUYS

When trying to choose perfect shades I was spoilt for choice, there was soooo many to choose from but these are the few that I managed to whittle down to be in my best buys for Autumn , some of them were absolute steals for as low as £1.00!! I mean who could moan at that price, really???
I know that some of us may not feel so adventurous when it comes to trying out new shades of lipsticks, especially when some are as dark as your soul, but fear not I have you guys covered. here I have chose a few tinted lip balms ranging in price again, granted they will not have the same look as the lipsticks when applied but it still will give you that subtle little bit of colour without going over
board.
                                                          TINTED LIP BALM'S
I have seen so many of the beauties Rocking this new trend on social media, mainly Instagram over the past week, it seems to be so hard to choose which look I liked the best but, when it comes to the crunch no-one and I mean no-one can rock it better than these three stunners.
I follow these ladies religiously on all of their social media sites, but I will link their Instagram pages down below for you all to check them out.
I hope you all love these ladies as much as I do and I hope you all enjoyed my little version of the new Autumn Make-up trends. I hope you all have a fantastic day whatever you may be up to. For now its love, hugs and kisses from Little Painted Me xxxooo

Tag your it.... Blogger interview tag

Being a new blogger in town isn't always easy so when i saw a little post on Twitter from Emily looking for bloggers to be involved in her "tag your it" blog post i jumped at the chance as it will let you all get to know me a bit better.
Before I get started I was tagged by Emily and here is her blog http://www.floraalemily.blogspot.co.uk/

1.How did you get into blogging?
I have been interested in blogging for a long time, being a mummy of 4 reading other ladies/gents blogs used to be like my little way to escape from the mayhem (hehe)  but the more I followed these bloggers the more I realised hey this is something that i really wanted to do myself, so having a passion for beauty and cooking/baking I thought I would base my blog on those as these are the  things I trained for in college when I left school, but becoming a parent at only 18 meant I had to let it take a back seat for a while. So what better way to share my love than through my very own blog.

What advice would you give to beginner bloggers?
well considering im only new myself the best advice i could pass on is do what YOU want to do, find your neich then it will all come naturally to you when it comes to blogging about it. Also be patient, i found myself constantly checking how many followers i had on social media and how many hits my blog was getting, if your doing your best then the followers will find you and more importantly keep coming back each time you post.

What would be your dream campaign?
Im a huge fan of Marissa carter and her cocoa brown brand i follow her on twitter and snapchat, if.your not already following her then you are missing out, this lady is stunning and has a voice that would melt you.
Im already obsessed with all of the cocoa brown range but to be involved in a campaign for this would be a dream come true.

Do you have a plan for your blog?
The only plan I have for my blog is that it becomes a success and that it inspires others to start up one of their own.
i really hope you all enjoyed reading this tag interview and i hope you all have a fab day, but for now its love, hugs and kisses from LittlePainted me xxx
below are the blogs i now tag πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

gorgeous hair with no hassle

Hi my lovlies
A while back I watched a video on instagram of a lady using a magic little gadget on her hair,it was like a guide she used to french braid her own hair. I thought this was a fantastic product and decided to try it out for myself because there is times I see demos of products on t.v and think ohhhh that looks so easy then i receive it and I might aswell blindfold myself and tie my hands behind my back, like come on its just ridiculous.
It almost looked like a little plastic wriggly worm, (great description) so I Googled and found out its called a Shang Du and it was on Amazon for 89p with free postage and packaging, this is buttons like so what had I got to loose .
It was delivered a few days ago, it was really fast postage considering it came from china. I couldn't wait to test it out for myself but I wasn't pro enough to trial it on my own hair just yet as I thought it would be sooo awkward. So instead I used my little 8 year old daughter Amelia as her hair is super long and really thin, my way of thinking was I needed to try challenge the gadget in some ways to try and find its faults , and what better way than thin hair. Well wasn't I wrong!! Oh my god this was soooo easy even my daughter could have done her own hair!! Each little loop holds the hair perfectly in place without any hassle what so ever and her hair looked like it took me hours, I was sooooo pleased with myself I was showing everyone. (Such a show off) .below is a before and after picture of Amelias hair.

The Shang Du did slip a little through out the day but I think this was down to the fact her hair was freshly washed this morning. I would suggest maybe 2nd or 3rd day hair. It would be an amazing little extra to slip in your luggage to take on holiday for them lazy sunny days by the beach sipping on cocktail. I would highly recommend this little product to everyone Its just FAB!!!
I hope you all have a fantastic day but for now girlies its love , hugs and kisses from littlepainted me xxxooo.

There is a person behind this mask..

Growing up i was a typical tomboy , I wore football tops and tracksuit bottoms , I didnt have a care in the world about what i looked like. Most of my friends where boys. I think my personality matched better with them, Dont get me wrong i had friends that were girls too but i just felt more comfortable with the boys.
I was never one of the "pretty" girls in school, i wasn't a girl the boys oggled over, i was a little plain jane that blended into the back ground so easily. I think this is what first set off with my love/hate relationship with my appearance.
In my late teens early twenties i had this self perception that I needed to wear makeup to make myself beautiful, make myself stand out from the crowd! I mean when did i ever let my self esteem get so low? Probably would have been easier if people would stop telling me that i looked ill or asking was i ok when i did appear with no makeup.
soon i got to the stage where i wouldnt leave the house without my "face" on. I would have a full face done just to sit in the house! It was Ridiculous!!
I felt in a way it was a mask I could cower behind, I would put on my warpaint and this whole new person evolved, shining with confidence and not a care in world of what other people thought, and of course attracted attention.but really behind this mask was a little girl with no self confidence what so ever!!
The older i got the worse i became, i mean i have a genuine fear of people seeing me without makeup! No joke! It puts the fear of god in me! I just want to get to the point where i can say f#*k it today is going to be a no makeup day ,rather than hibernate in my room when people come to visit unexpectedly before i have managed to paint my face!!
Having daughters i am so cautious never to show them how low my self esteem really is, to them i put on my makeup to keep my face warm, i tell them every single day how beautiful they are and that they should never feel they NEED to wear makeup when they are older to make themselves feel pretty.
My lovlies i want you all to know that you are all gorgeous!!
I hope you all have an amazing day but for now its love, hugs and kisses from littlepainted me xxxooo

Beware of Fake products online

Hi my lovlies.
Nothing pains me more than being taken for a mug, not often I rant and rave about anything but ladies let me tell you this , please please please be so careful when buying beauty products online especially a well known auction sight!! *cough* EBAY.
I was super excited to have found what I thought was a wee bargain (we all know how much i love a bargain) on this web sight, the product being the Balms mary lou manizer, the seller stated that this product was 100% genuine item and she was selling as it was an "unwanted gift" so I thought happy days save myself a few wee bob !! I bought it for £13.00 plus postage and packaging, saving about £7. Now i wish i hadn't of bothered!!
My wee package arrived 3 days after purchasing it , which was excellent to be fair but to my disgust when I opened it I automatically new something wasn't quite right, I had seen the Mary Lou Manizer in shops and swatched it 1000 times before so once I opened to swatch my heart sank!! How could I have been so daft!! How does the saying go... if its too good to be true then it probably is! This product just looked like a transparent pressed powder, no shimmer in it what so ever!! The packaging looked cheap, the edgin of the box was purple and not pink and it was blurred,as for the details on the pack well that was just a give away!!Disgusted is an understatement! Never in my life will I buy another beauty product form EBAY again! I have now reported the seller for selling counterfeit goods ,Im not even worried about getting my money back, I just want to be sure to warn all of you so it doesn't happen to you aswell.
On a brighter note I caught my self on stopped being a cheap skate and bought another new Mary Lou Manizer from The Balms website.
I am so cautious now when purchasing online and i hope you all do the same after reading this. I have attached pics of my fake products detailing how to know a fake product just so you can see the difference.
hope you all have a fab day, but for now its love, hugs and kisses from littlepainted me xxxooo

fab beach hair

Today i re-created a look i did yesterday on my hair using Parlour by Jeff Chastain, this product is a texturisin sea salt spray, i received this with julys birchbox. Firstly can i add that this smells amazing! I almost want to say that it has a scent almost like outdoors, flowers and freshly cut grass, its such an odd way to describe the smell of a product but if you already have this or tried it before then you will know exactly what I mean.
I first used this product yesterday, I was running super late for work and I did not have time to dry my hair after my shower, so instead I spritzed the product all over my damp hair, left it for a little minute then scrunched it to created a wavy look.I finished it off by plaiting the two front sections of my hair and pinning them back from my face,I set this in place with a little spray of Fudge's raspberry and vanilla hairspray which i purchased in my local suoermarket for £4.49. Can I tell you I got complements alllll day on my "beach look" hair, not quite sure that this was the look I was aiming for but hey if people love it then I'll have me some of that. Hehe.
This can be a Little bit pricey at £17 for a full size bottle but I believe it is worth every single penny. It would be perfect for while on holiday and you don't want to be spending ages on your hair, quick spray and a tousle of the locks and your good to.go. this is a cruelty free product and can also be used on coloured hair, so with me having multicoloured bleached and darkened hair then its a perfect product for me and I know that it is definately my new "go to" hair product for perfect lazy Sunday hair.
Hope you all have f

ab Sunday but for now its Love, hugs and kisses from LittlePainted Me xxxooo

FM cosmetics luminous skin primer

Today i am still feeling absolutely terrible (chest infection) i look sooooo ill, almost grey in colour  (tmi) so rather than standing and doing 45 minutes to an hour of putting my face on (as i usally do) primer, concealers, foundations, powders, eyeshadows, liners etc i decided to try a different tactic today, more of a time saver really, i mixed some of FMs luminous skin primer with some of niveas medium bb cream and applied that to my face just as i would with my foundation, an ohh my god ! This product left my sick grey skin looking soo radiant! Almost like a dewy glow. And the radiant look lasted all day which i was chuffed about. And lets be honest girls these two products dont exactly break the bank when it comes to buying them, infact i purchased the Nivea bb cream in my local supermarket for £2.99 and FMs luminous skin is  £6.99 !! Fabulous prices for a product when combined left me feeling a million dollars on a very miserable day! And who said you cant put a price on beauty?? When the price is as little as this can we really complain? .Hope you all have a fab day, love, hugs and kisses from little painted me xxx

Brows, brows, where for art thou brows

Hi my lovelys
I just want to take this time to talk about the subject of the dreaded "perfect brow" . Jesus even saying those words sends shivers down my spine!! I , for one have never been one of the lucky ones to be blessed with the Perfect brows, as a child of the 80s i was a fan of plucking them out to within an inch of their life, actually to almost non existance! Yes i almost made my own eyebrows exstinct!!!  Since then i have struggled to regrow my brows back to full thickness, they are really sparse and grow in some parts and completely bald in other parts! Total nightmare! I always wished i was one of the brave ones that had the gooleys to go and get them tattooed on, but me being me i have this nightmare thought of them going completely wrong and ending up looking like someone out of a horror show!! No thank you!!
But thankfully with the wonder that is brow powder i have finally mastered the art of making my wee face look normal again and penciling/powdering them in. I have seen sooo many tutorial done with all high end products, but as a mummy to 4 i cant always afford the high end products, so being the bargin hunter that i am i have found the holy grail of bargins which is a company called fm cosmetics, i will go into this company in a bit more detail in a later blog aswell as this brow quad but for now OMG this brow quad is amazeballs!! Like as im sure you can all see i have little to no brows before application to having what looks like a full thick brow!  I am so so happy with this product and until i can put my faith into another brow product the fm one for me in number 1  hands down!  They may not be tattood brows but they look just as good and the wee brucey bonus is they can be washed away if any mistakes are made heheh . I hope you all had a lovely day, thank you for reading, pop by and say hi, lots lof love, hugs and kisses from little painted me xox

OLAY products

Ladies, lets all face it,The best part of a day is the minute we get to remove the face we painted on that morning, am i right??  well, let me help you with a few little products that I have been using that I have found fantastic on my 30+ year old skin. I have found myself looking soooo tired and drained lately and iv put it down to the daily life of being a mum to 4 kiddies and slightly neglecting myself !! so thought i could start with a new skin routine to see if it helped.  I have been using these 3 OLAY products for 2 weeks now and i cant fault them in anyway at all! Firstly ,The eyemakeup remover is so gentle on the eyes and works great against waterproof mascara and liquid eyeliner (huge fan of both), its also a bonus aswell that its more moisturing than oily and doesnt burn the eyes out of your head like some previous brands!!
Secondly , The cleansing milk. This stuff smells soooo devine! Leaves skin silky soft and removes all traces of makeup , just use by gently massaging into face and neck then remove with damp cotton pads. And last but not least the OLAY lift and firm night cream, now if you are at all like me i have noticed a few "crinkles" starting to appear around my eyes, well let me tell you this cream is amazing!! I have actually started to see a change in the appreance of the fine lines around my eyes. I know that I for 1 am 100% going to continue using these products for the forseeable future and hope that you all find them as fab as i do!!
Thank you all for readin my lovleys , pop by say hi , Love, hugs and kisses from LittlePainted Me xox
